Southern Waterside was born out of summers spent on Smith Lake and one spent working the docks at Trident Marina. Growing up on the water, McCain Smith understood firsthand the hold this lake has on people. Working at the marina only reinforced it. Boat after boat, the same thing was clear: for most people, Smith Lake isn’t just a weekend spot. It’s a way of life.
Southern Waterside is the brand he built around that. McCain launched it in 2025 at 17 years old. Classic, easy apparel made for the people who live it.
